Appointments and Aftercare for Aesthetics

Please arrive on time to your appointment. Clients who are late will be subject to cancellation if the remaining time does not allow for the full treatment to be carried out. In some cases a cancellation fee will be required.

All appointments require a non refundable deposit. Please read the full terms and conditions prior to booking.

You will need to complete a consultation form prior to your appointment. You will also need to familiarise yourself with the appointment instructions and after care. You must keep your therapist informed of any changes in your health when you return for repeat treatments.

Failure to adhere to the before and aftercare will affect the life and look of your treatment.

​​Failure to follow the below advice may lead to treatment complications or affect the desired results. If you have any other queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your therapist.

​

  • Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated

  • Do not drink alcohol, caffine, hot drinks or spicy food for 24 – 48 hours

  • Do not exercise for 24 – 48 hours

  • Do not use steam rooms, saunas, swimming pools or sun beds

  • Do not apply make-up, retinol or abrasive skin products for 24 – 48 hours

  • Avoid facials, waxing, chemical peels, skin needling, microdermabrasion, IPL or laser treatments for 2 weeks after treatment

  • Avoid pressure on the area for the first 48 hours - sleep on your back if possible

  • Use arnica cream or Aloe Vera to soothe the area

  • Do not take medication which has blood thinning agents such as aspirin. – always check with your GP before stopping any medication.

  • Avoid supplements such as multivitamins, fish oils, glucosamine and Vitamin B or Vitamin E, for 24 – 48 hours – always check with your GP before stopping any medication.

  • Do not massage the treatment area unless instructed to do so

  • If you have significant swelling contact your therapist as soon as possible

 

If you have any adverse medical reaction, seek medical help immediately.

A rare complication is vascular occlusion in which a blood vessel is accidentally blocked with filler. Signs and symptoms include throbbing and aching pain which can be severe, paleness, a cold feeling to the tissue and purple streaky mottling tissue changes. If you notice any of these symptoms you must contact your practitioner for advice as soon as possible.
